Booking Conditions

1. Introduction

This Booking Policy regulates the terms and conditions for contracting the accommodation services offered by Hotel Taro Santa Cruz, in compliance with current regulations:

  • Law 7/1995, of 6 April, on the Regulation of Tourism in the Canary Islands (Ley de Ordenación del Turismo de Canarias).
  • Decree 142/2010, of 4 October, approving the Regulations on tourist accommodation activities (Reglamento de la actividad turística de alojamiento).
  • Spanish legislation regarding consumer protection, electronic commerce, and data protection.

By making a booking, the customer expressly accepts the terms set out herein.

2. Booking process

  • Bookings can be made through the website, by email, or by telephone.
  • The accommodation contract shall be valid once the customer receives written confirmation (by email) detailing: dates of stay, number of people, board basis, price, and cancellation conditions.
  • In accordance with Art. 26 of Decree 142/2010, the booking entitles the customer to occupy the accommodation unit and to receive the contracted services under the agreed conditions.

3. Prices and payment methods

  • Prices include applicable taxes (IGIC), unless expressly stated otherwise.
  • The hotel may require an advance payment or deposit (up to a maximum of 50% of the total amount, in accordance with Art. 27 of Decree 142/2010).
  • The remaining balance shall be paid upon arrival or as agreed in the booking confirmation.
  • Payments may be made by credit/debit card or other methods accepted by the hotel.

4. Cancellations and withdrawal

  • The customer may cancel their booking at any time by communicating it in writing.
  • Free cancellation: if made more than 48 hours prior to the arrival date.
  • No Show: a fee equivalent to the cost of 1 night’s stay will be charged, regardless of the total duration of the booking.
  • The customer may always request proof of cancellation.

5. Rights and obligations of the customer

  • Right to receive the contracted services in accordance with the official category of the establishment.
  • Right to receive an invoice with an itemised breakdown of services and taxes.
  • Obligation to respect the hotel’s internal rules, facilities, and peaceful coexistence with other guests.
  • Failure to comply with these rules may result in the termination of the contract, in accordance with the Canary Islands Tourism Law.

6. Check-in and check-out

  • Arrival (check-in): from 15:00.
  • Departure (check-out): until 11:00.
  • Extending the stay will require a prior request and will be subject to availability and additional contracting terms.

7. Data protection

Personal data collected during the booking process and stay will be processed in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), Organic Law 3/2018 (LOPDGDD), and Canary Islands tourism regulations regarding guest registration logs.

8. Complaints and official forms

  • The customer has the right to lodge complaints.
  • The hotel has Official Complaint Forms (Hojas Oficiales de Reclamaciones) available to customers, as required by Canary Islands tourism regulations.

9. Applicable law and jurisdiction

This policy is governed by the tourism regulations of the Canary Islands, as well as by Spanish consumer legislation.

In the event of a dispute, the parties shall submit to the competent Courts and Tribunals of Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
